Your domain name is your online identity. If it expires, your website will go offline, your emails will stop working, and eventually, the domain will be released to the public where someone else or a competitor can buy it.
We recommend renewing your domain at least 30 days before its expiration date. Alternatively, enable Auto-Renewal in your dashboard so our system handles it automatically.
Log into your NairoCloud client area, navigate to 'My Domains', select your domain, and toggle the 'Auto Renew' status to On. Ensure you have a valid payment method on file.
Immediately upon expiration, your website and email will stop functioning. You usually have a 30-day grace period to renew the domain at the normal price. After this, it enters a Redemption Grace Period.
If a domain is not renewed during the standard grace period, it enters Redemption. During this 30-day phase, recovering the domain is still possible but requires paying a significant redemption fee imposed by the registry.
Yes. Once the Redemption Grace Period ends, the domain goes into a 'Pending Delete' status and is shortly after released back to the public pool. Domain investors often use automated software to quickly grab expiring domains.
